Jyoti Yoga

Clara Moon Song

Clara Moon Song

Observing closely, the path to peace within oneself, is the foundation of practice. Babaji was my first yoga teacher who emphasized this as the ultimate aim. I honour the lineage of teachers that passed on these technologies of practice that have deeply supported and assisted this exploration within.

The path to peace inside oneself is a path to Self realization. It's a slow journey with a responsibility of unravelling everything that binds the heart and mind. Life, everything and everyone in it, become the teachers that bring attention to anything that highlights this. As we begin to purify and free these spaces within,  perception sharpens and the ground of reality expands.

Conscience becomes your guide, Energy/Shakti/Life becomes the playground of teachers.

And you... You become the Guru

The shared ground of an undifferentiated consciousness slowly reveals as the place of peace within, and the evolving self and perception, become the play within it.

For those recovering from PTSD and substance abuse, this class has a strong focus on self care and redirecting our minds. Cultivating the intimate relationship between the body, breath and mind, brings to light the source from which we can make the deep shifts we want to see in ourselves.

Gratitude for the Lineage of Teachers

Baba Hari Dass

Baba Hari Dass, took a vow of silence at the age of 29 and remained so for 66 years to the day he passed. His light in this world was so bright that it felt clear to walk his way. This led me to the teachings of Classical Ashtanga (Raja) Yoga. His message if there was only one, was to "Aim for Peace" within oneself. To follow the path inside of you in order to discover the truth of this. The practices of Classical Ashtanga Yoga opened the map to begin this exploration.

Padma

The study of Raja Yoga ignited a further exploration of yoga through other branches of study. This led to a more comprehensive study and practice of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Kundalini Tantra and Yoga Nidra, from the lineage above. All of which addressed the purification and cleansing of one's own gross and subtle body through asana, pranayama, mudras, bandhas, mantra and chakra sadhana.

These practices help to purify and cleanse the system preparing the mind for the final stages of Raja Yoga, which is Mediation.

Alongside these sacred practices of Yoga that began to light up the inner realms, came some deep shifts in perspective through the teachings of Buddhism and the practice of Tibetan Heart Yoga as passed on through Padma. Where Hatha Yoga emphasized the purification of the gross and subtle body, Tibetan Heart Yoga and the teachings on Emptiness, emphasized the purification and cleansing of the heart and mind through inner practices of compassion, equanimity, and an honest look at the mental and emotional landscape of our being.
